Ashton comes to the Daily each week prepared to pitch new story ideas of his own. His contributions are integral to the success of not only the Diversity desk, but the Daily publication as a whole. He takes the time to develop relationships with sources, both on Iowa State’s campus and throughout the Ames community. It is proven through his time and efforts as a Daily reporter that Ashton excels in the communication skills needed to be a professional in both public relations and journalism.
